Canal Festival (c) Scottish Canals

The Canal Festival and Raft Race in Lochrin basin, is a celebration of the new lease of life the canal now has. The waterway brims with boats visiting from all along the canal. The towpath becomes a carnival and the canal societies and the Seagull Trust cruise boats ply up and down the canal with their boats full of passengers. Fancy dressed teams compete in colourful raft race frenzies.
